Meet the Founders
We met in French 9, on Lee's second run at it, and we have been in business together since 1 January 1996.
We set up New Generation Computers in 1995 so we could buy computer parts at wholesale. Good parts were expensive and hard to find where we lived, the internet barely existed, and a business account was the way in. By the end of the year enough friends were buying through us that it had stopped being a favour.
We went to Comdex together that year and came home having decided to make a real go of it, so we picked 1 January 1996 as the official start. That company incorporated in 2000, went business-only, and became happier IT in 2016. We have both held the CEO job there; Robin holds it today.
User First Digital was incorporated in January 2022. Between us we have bought, run and replaced most of the tools in this market, and they fell short in the same way, as though they had been built by people who had never run an MSP. So we are building the software we want for our own MSP, and making it available to every other MSP too.
